RouteBench is a productivity toolkit for road-operations supervisors (package tracking, barcode generation, end-of-day reporting, vehicle check-in audits, and a labor-agreement reference assistant). This policy explains what data the app handles and how it is protected. The developer ("we") is the publisher listed on the app's store page; contact mbomnda@gmail.com.
1. Information the app handles
- Profile presets you enter — your name, employee ID, work center, SLIC, and an access PIN.
- Operational data you enter or look up — package tracking numbers and, for the reporting/audit features, package status and delivery details (which may include consignee names and delivery addresses) that you upload or load.
- Questions you type into the contract-reference assistant.
- On-device activity history — a rolling 30-day record of your own tracking lookups, contract questions, and generated barcode batches.
2. How it is stored and where it goes
- On your device: your presets and the 30-day history are stored in your device's secure keystore (Apple Keychain / Android Keystore), encrypted at rest and bound to your device. They are not synced to other devices and are excluded from device backups.
- On our server (mbomnda.com): end-of-day reporting and check-in audit data are stored on our server, encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and protected by your employee ID + access PIN, so you can resume on any device.
- Package tracking numbers are sent over HTTPS to our server, which queries the carrier's tracking service to return status. Contract questions are sent over HTTPS to our server, which queries an AI language provider (Google Gemini) to generate the answer. Only the text needed to perform the request is transmitted.
- Camera and photos: the camera and your selected photos are used only on the device to read barcodes/labels. The app does not upload these images.
3. What we do NOT collect
We do not collect your location, contacts, calendar, microphone audio, or advertising identifiers. RouteBench contains no third-party advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Sharing
Data is shared only with the service providers needed to deliver a function you request: the carrier's package-tracking service (for tracking results) and the AI provider (for contract answers). We do not share your data with any other third party.
5. Security
All network traffic uses HTTPS; cleartext connections are disabled. Stored data is encrypted at rest on the device (OS keystore) and on the server (AES-256-GCM), and the reporting/audit data is gated by your PIN.
6. Retention
On-device history is automatically pruned to the most recent 30 days. Server-stored reporting/audit data is retained only for the short operational window needed and pruned automatically. You can clear on-device history in the app, and you may request deletion of server-stored data by contacting us.
7. Children
RouteBench is a workplace tool intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13.
8. Your choices
You may decline the camera/photo permissions (the app still works via typed entry), clear your on-device history at any time, and contact us to access or delete server-stored data.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date will change accordingly. Material changes will be reflected here.
